LAGCOE Announces Career Fair

Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE), one of the world's pioneer oil and gas expositions, announced its inaugural LAGCOE Career Fair on October 24, 2013, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Cajundome & Convention Center during the LAGCOE show, according to Angela Cring, executive director of LAGCOE.

The creation of the LAGCOE Career Fair aligns with the organization’s mission of “fostering public education of the function and services of the oil industry” and “promotion of the oil industry as a whole.” The event will be free to the public and will feature the opportunity to network with representatives from various companies throughout the industry.

“LAGCOE is very proud to offer this event in response to the oil and gas industry’s critical need for a qualified workforce,” said Cring. “Our goal is to provide the industry with an outlet for recruiting and facilitating networking between existing and future professionals.”

In continuous operation since 1955, LAGCOE is a first rate exposition where world-class oil and gas industry companies display the latest equipment and services, and technical sessions address pertinent issues from across the globe. LAGCOE 2013 exhibit space is sold out with 413 exhibitors, while more than 400 companies remain on the wait list.

“LAGCOE has served the industry and our community for nearly 60 years,” said Kirby Arceneaux, LAGCOE 2013 chairman. “The development of the LAGCOE Career Fair is yet another example of the organization’s dedication to its mission.”
