BMS Announces Release Of New Desktop Barcode And Label Printers
January 21, 2010
Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc. recently announced the release of two new Desktop Barcode and Label Printers, the TD-4000 and TD-4100N. These new printers require no unique emulations, are supplied with a Windows® driver that makes them compatible with virtually all Windows® labeling applications for fast, professional output, and are supplied with a suite of software in a ready-to-go package.
"The price point of these printers and software included with these printers makes for an outstanding value proposition." said Peteris D'Carlo, General Manager of the Brother Mobile and Label Printer Group. "The printers are designed to work with virtually any Windows bar-coding and labeling applications. However, the included software will in many cases eliminate the need for an additional software expense. The software provides both label design and database integration tools."
Both printers are designed to operate with virtually all Windows labeling applications and include Windows® drivers and the powerful P-touch® suite of labeling software including the P-touch® Editor, the P-touch® Transfer Manager, the P-touch® Transfer Express, and the P-touch® Library.
Direct thermal printing means no ink, toner, or ribbons to replace, only one consumable – the label media! These printers use drop-in 2-4" Genuine Brother RD Roll or most die cut and continuous media. Custom media sizes can be developed for special applications. A built-in cutter is included with every unit. These printers are supplied with 5 resident fonts and 14 linear and 2-dimensional bar codes.
The TD-4000 interfaces include direct USB and Serial connections and the TD-4100N interfaces include USB, Serial, and Ethernet connections. These two additions to the Brother Mobile Solutions product line offer high-quality printing of labels up to 4" in width at 300-dpi and a speed of up to 4.3 inches per second for manufacturing, warehouse, retail, post and parcel, and health care applications.
These new printers will be available after January 11, 2010 from Brother Mobile Solutions business partners throughout the United States.
