Leading Oil And Gas Companies Honored For Adoption Of Wireless Gas-Detection Technology By RAE Systems
Companies Recognized During Industry Seminar Showcasing Breakthroughs in Wireless Gas Detection
Houston, TX --(Marketwire) - RAE Systems, Inc. (NYSE Amex: RAE) today announced it honored two of its key customers within the international oil-and-gas industry who have been leading adopters of wireless gas-detection technology. The awards were presented to representatives of Total Petrochemicals and BP at an event near Houston, Texas, which was attended by members of the area's oil, gas and petrochemicals companies.
The event, co-sponsored by BIC Magazine, showcased the latest in wireless gas-detection technology from RAE Systems and was the epicenter for the company's introduction of its ProRAE Guardian software. The new software platform provides a "mobile command center" for safety managers with comprehensive real-time display of threat data from any location at any time.
During the seminar, keynote speaker and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Alan Brown, health services supervisor for the Total Port Arthur Refinery, shared how his company has adopted, integrated and deployed RAE Systems' AreaRAE wireless gas-detection systems.
RAE Systems' Vice President of Marketing Bill Jackson, also a speaker at the seminar, outlined the strategic direction of RAE Systems in the field of wireless gas detection. Jackson showed the audience a live demonstration of ProRAE Guardian software, highlighting key features of the technology, including real-time data readings of multiple RAE Systems' gas-detection instruments, data logging, Google Maps overlays, and how live, connected RAE Systems' monitors moving around the facility can be viewed and tracked in real time with GPS information.
Other seminar speakers included BIC Magazine Founder Earl Heard; Chief Technology Officer for RAE Systems Peter Hsi; and Jesper Jensen, RAE Systems' director of business development for its MeshGuard wireless system.
