New Fuel Product Claims To Reduce Emissions, Increase Fuel Economy
July 7, 2006
Cars and light trucks, which include sport utility vehicles, pickups, and most minivans, emit more than 300 million tons of carbon into the atmosphere each year in the United States. The transportation sector alone is responsible for about one-third of the US's total production of carbon dioxide, the greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming.
Global Fuel Technologies, Inc., of Newark, NJ has developed new fuel products which are claimed to significantly reduce emissions and increase fuel economy. Their main product, Nitro MPG, a non-petroleum blend of compounds, when added to any internal combustion engine - with both gasoline and diesel fuels - is said to deliver more torque and greater performance.
According to Global Fuel Technologies, Nitro MPG, when added to gasoline or diesel fuel, frees oxygen molecules into the combustion chamber increasing the percentage of hydrocarbon combustion up to 99.99% of the fuel. This added combustion delivers more torque and can increase fuel mileage by as much as 15% to 20%, says the company.
Nitro MPG formulations are available for diesel, gasoline, and hybrid vehicles; in addition to industrial applications.
