The solid/liquid hydrocyclone offers effective solids removal in a compact package. It can handle high levels of solids, with removal down to five micron.
Solid/liquid hydrocyclones are ideal for:
- oily process water
- oil-field produced water
- desanding of injection water
- sand jetting systems applications
- Typically less than one-tenth the size and weight of a media filter or inclined plate separator, and one one-hundredth the size of a conventional clarifier for the same capacity
- Compact size means increased flexibility and lower installation cost in some plants
- No backwash pumps and tanks are needed, further minimizing installation space requirements
- No moving parts, level controls or complex control systems, resulting in simple operation and minimal maintenance
- Modular construction for simple expansion
