Dresser-Rand Releases 2011 Corporate Sustainability Report
Dresser-Rand Group Inc. (“Dresser-Rand” or “the Company”) has published its third Corporate Sustainability Report, which identifies 13 sustainability goals across three main focus areas for the Company.
The theme of the Dresser-Rand 2011 Corporate Sustainability Report (the “Report”) is Operational Excellence. The Report explains the Company's efforts to grow value for its stakeholders in a way that is sustainable, with emphasis on achieving Operational Excellence.
The Report also profiles the Company’s goals to create a safe and stimulating work environment for its employees, suppliers and service providers, discusses how it’s reducing the environmental impact of Dresser-Rand and clients’ facilities, and describes ways in which it’s working to strengthen the communities in which the Company operates.
In a statement to stakeholders in the Report, Vincent R. Volpe Jr., president and CEO of Dresser-Rand, describes the Company’s commitment to sustainability, noting that, “Dresser-Rand is proud of the progress we have been making on bringing energy and the environment into harmony. Our mission for 2012 and beyond is to grow value for our stockholders in a way that is sustainable. It’s our belief that sustainability and Operational Excellence are inextricably linked. Operational Excellence is our commitment to invest in people, processes, facilities, and supplier relationships that enable us to compete and excel in quality, cost and cycle time.”
The Report was prepared using stakeholder feedback and the disclosure requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative. The Report includes summaries of the Company’s progress across three core areas – environment, society and governance – that are key to Dresser-Rand’s business sustainability.
The Report is printed in limited quantities on FSC-certified paper, which is manufactured using responsible sources. It is also available online at: http://www.dresser-rand.com/sustainability/
