Drilling Services Of America Launches Mobile Service Unit For Land Based Thru-Tubing Jobs
Drilling Services of America (DSA), the complete thru-tubing specialist, announced recently that it now offers customers a state-of-the-art Mobile Service Unit (MSU), allowing it to expand its land based thru-tubing and cased-hole milling and fishing services.
The MSU is an innovative, self-sustained truck and trailer unit, complete with a work shop and employee living quarters. It is used to assemble, maintain and inventory tools and equipment for land based thru-tubing jobs. The MSU is equipped with a shop table, torque machine, overhead crane and customized racks to store DSA specialty mills, DSA motors and a wide range of related bottom-hole tools and redress kits.
“The MSU allows DSA to be more efficient, provide a wider array of tools onsite and mitigate downtime caused by unexpected events.” said Jaret Garber, business development, DSA.
The trailer is powered primarily by plugging into a land based power source with typical 30amp RV hook ups; however, for remote locations, the MSU can sustain itself by means of either an on board diesel generator or an intrinsic solar panel and battery system.
