Fox Thermal Instruments Launches New Product

Fox Thermal Instruments announced recently the launch of their new product: the Fox Model FT2A Thermal Mass Flow Meter & Temperature Transmitter.

Fox Thermal Instruments has revamped its product line with the redesigned FT2A Thermal Mass Flow Meter. The FT2A is the newly-improved version of the widely popular Model FT2 flow meter, and it features an even more robust design.  

Fox has taken a hard look at its most trusted product - the Model FT2, brought it back to the drawing board, and revolutionized the design of the flow meter in order to offer Fox customers an even more robust flow meter for harsh industrial environments.  Furthermore, to expand to the Building Automation industry, Fox has broadened the communications options available on the FT2A to include BACnet MS/TP.

Among its advanced features are:

  • BACnet MS/TP, RS485 Modbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, or Ethernet Modbus TCP - Optional Communication Protocols
  • Standard USB Port – Gain Direct Meter-to-PC Connections
  • FT2A View™  - Improved software for configuring, graphing and logging data

FT2A View™ allows easy adjustments to the meter configuration, evaluation of alarm conditions, collection of process data, and measurement viewing from your PC or control station. 

A USB connection port comes standard on the new Model FT2A which allows quick and easy access with a laptop. Communications options available are BACnet MS/TP, RS485 Modbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, or Ethernet Modbus TCP.

Other FT2A features are dual 4 to 20mA outputs (one for flow and the second selectable for flow or temperature) and pulse output (pulses per unit/units per pulse).
