Liquid Particle Counters: Eliminate Dilution In Lubricant And Oil Analysis
Source: Beckman Coulter Life Sciences
By Bill Bars and Dave Dunham
In oil and lubricant analysis, viscosity is a critical feature in particle counting of liquids as it impacts both detection and performance efficiency of the process. As such it is crucial that particle counting devices are equipped to accommodate liquids of a wide variety of viscosity coefficients. In this short application note we demonstrate a significant enhancement of the dynamic range of the new HIAC 8011+ that allows the user to measure fluids from 1 to 425cSt and is both sensor and flow rate dependent.
