Low cost of ownership, low maintenance requirements, reliable measuring results, and ease of use makes the OPTISYS SLM 2080 ideal for continuous measurement of industrial and municipal waste water sludge, sludge settlement monitoring, and control of return activated sludge (RAS) and waste activated sludge (WAS). The new OPTISYS SLM 2080 is an excellent early warning system for sedimentation problems and prevents sludge washout.
Energy costs are a growing concern at many wastewater treatment plants and customers can use the OPTISYS SLM 2080 to achieve significant energy savings by optimizing pre-thickening of the sludge. Increasing the suspended solids content of sludge fed to the digester reduces the amount of water that has to be heated in the digestion towers, thereby reducing energy costs.
The OPTISYS SLM 2080 features automatic flushing of the sensor and cable after each measuring cycle and a robust stainless steel IP 55 housing with integrated heater for outdoor installations, which keeps maintenance requirements to the minimum.
