Advances in horizontal completions and hydraulic fracturing are now needed to reduce well costs and optimize production in multi-stack Permian reservoirs. With the number of new horizontal wells overtaking the number of new vertical developments in the Permian for the first time last year, operators in the Wolfcamp A, B and C, Cline, Avalon and Bone Springs are continually collecting data indicating how adjustments in completions variables are correlating with incremental production rates to optimize designs going forward. The 4th Annual Permian Horizontal Completions Optimization: Wolfcamp & Cline Focus congress has been re-researched and this year will focus specifically on how adjustments to completions variables are affecting costs and cumulative production in different Permian shale zones. Speakers will deliver presentations showing how different combinations of frac variables, relative to cost, are impacting on initial and cumulative production and EOR by evaluating each completions variable separately, from fluid design to proppant sizes, types and concentrations; and from cluster spacing to number of stages.
