Process safety - who should be accountable? Despite this century’s increase in process automation and the proliferation of smart technology, humans remain an essential component of the working environment. The demands on human performance have however changed significantly over the years with the end result that employees, organizations and leaders have to adapt continuously. Management and organisational factors have a large influence on accidents and incidents, either directly or through their impact on the behaviours of employees. How can an organisation motivate their people to exhibit the right behaviours and ensure that the barriers in place to prevent, control and recover from an incident are effective? This seminar will bring together thought leaders to share how cultural or behavioural interventions can be successfully implemented in tandem with engineering as well as having technical and systems aspects in place and adequately managed. Discover how human factors can be effectively applied to improve process safety and ultimately result in improved productivity and business performance.
