Charles A. Frey Jr. And Rich Horn Celebrated As STI/SPFA Hall Of Fame Award Recipients

On April 14, Charles A. Frey Jr., Vice President of Highland Tank and Manufacturing and Rich Horn, Regional Sales Manager, Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CB&I), were presented with the Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association (STI/SPFA) Hall of Fame Award during the 2018 Annual Meeting in Chandler, Arizona. STI/SPFA's Hall of Fame Award honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the organization. 

Sonny Underwood, Chairman of the STI/SPFA Board, presented the award to Charles "Charlie" A. Frey. Frey served on the Steel Tank Institute Board in various roles including Vice President, President and Chairman. He also received the President's Award, President's Distinguished Award and the Service Award. Frey also served as President of the Steel Tank Association. He is an active association member who regularly contributes to committees and the industry.

Chip Stein, STI/SPFA Board of Director, presented Rich Horn his award. Horn has been an active speaker at Steel Water Tank Seminars and has presented to nearly 3,000 attendees since 1994. He has been instrumental in developing tools, advertising and other materials promoting the industry and the association. Horn served on the STI/SPFA Board of Directors, as Field Erected Tank Section Chairman, and has received both the Distinguished Service and Appreciation Award.
