Dow Water & Process Solutions' FILMTEC FORTILIFE Elements Awarded For Global Sustainability Leadership

Recently, the Business Intelligence Group named Dow Water & Process Solutions' DOW FILMTEC FORTILIFE Reverse Osmosis and Nanofiltration Elements Sustainability Product of the Year in the 2017 Sustainability Awards program. The Sustainability Awards honor those people, teams and organizations who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice or overall mission.

Dow Water and Process Solutions (DW&PS), a business unit of Dow, is a global leader in sustainable water separation and purification technologies and is the home of FILMTEC reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membranes. The DOW FILMTEC FORTILIFE elements transform wastewater into pure water and pure salts for reuse at approximately 60% lower cost than thermal treatment. The three new reverse osmosis element designs, FORTILIFE CR100, XC70 and XC80, are equipped to tackle challenging biological and organic fouling encountered when recovering up to 95% of pure water from wastewater.

"FILMTEC membranes are based on a strong material science and engineering foundation and have a track record for delivering breakthroughs in sustainable water separation," said Tim Lacey, DW&PS Global Business Director. "We are proud that our technologies play a key role in enabling industry to more effectively reuse wastewater and help provide long-term sustainability to the industrial customer, the greater community and the environment."
