Unique field arm-able “button” allows for easy shipping and storage of indicators

ShockWatch, a global leader in the innovation and optimization of logistics and cold chain risk management, released a low cost, convenient solution that can monitor two separate temperature breaches and be activated at points along the supply chain. The ShockWatch Cold Chain Complete was designed specifically for the drug industry to detect exposure to out of refrigeration temperature conditions.

Industry-leading improvements in performance, accuracy and construction offer customers enhanced product quality and dramatically decreases the overall cost of this type of device through the ability to ship them without special packaging: An industry first.

“Because it is armed in the field, the Cold Chain Complete  can be stored and transported at ambient temperatures which means they are ready to use only when you are,” said Kevin Kohleriter, Vice President of Product Management. “In the end, the cost of cold chain temperature monitoring is cut dramatically since the indicators are not required to be shipped in special packaging, with refrigerant gel packs, or insulated coolers. Lower shipping costs, less bulk and less waste.”

The Cold Chain Complete is available in two configurations: a 2 to 8oC and 2 to 10oC, both for products that should be kept refrigerated. Alternative temperature ranges are also possible upon request.

Simple as 1, 2, 3 and affordable too
The new Cold Chain Complete can monitor for temperature excursions, and is very easy to use. Simply squeeze the blister “buttons”, place it in your shipment and you are ready to go. With its easy-to-read window and definitive color change, immediate decisions can be made about the integrity of the cold chain.

Thanks to its low cost, the Cold Chain Complete can be used at the case or unit level, increasing the accuracy of the data and making it the first truly cost-effective product of its type.

Part of a complete line of temperature products and services
The Cold Chain Complete is part of a complete line of temperature monitoring solutions available from ShockWatch. These products include the ColdMark2 and WarmMark2temperature indicators, the TempMark 8 electronic temperature indicator and the TrekViewline of wireless temperature recorders. The company also provides consulting services that include Temperature Mapping of Equipment, Transport Lane Mapping, Shipping Studies, Package Design and Testing, and Regulatory Compliance Gap Analysis.
