Oil And Gas Company Executives Gather At The LDC Gas Forum To Examine The Market And Develop Plans To Buy, Sell And Transport Natural Gas In The Rockies & West Region

The LDC Gas Forum Rockies and West occurs October 8-10, 2018, in Los Angeles at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel

Houston, TX (PRWEB) - Several hundred oil and gas industry executives and thought leaders will convene in Los Angeles in October to analyze and discuss the market, and negotiate transactions to buy, sell and transport natural gas in the Rockies & West region. The 14th Annual LDC Gas Forum Rockies & West takes place October 8-10 in downtown Los Angeles.

The Rockies & West LDC Gas Forum is part of the LDC Gas Forum and US-Mexico Gas Forum series that consists of five annual events each focused on the key natural gas market regions across North America. These events are much more than simply conferences in that in addition to gathering insights on critical issues affecting natural gas markets, participants also meet with industry counterparts to complete business transactions.

The Rockies & West region is a dynamic natural gas market, with evolving sources of supply, transportation/storage dynamics and transitioning demand requirements, with significant commercial implications. The region has primarily been supplied by natural gas produced in the Rockies and imported from Canada, delivered via several large interstate pipelines. Demand for natural gas in the region is in transition in response to low carbon policies and increasing reliance on renewables for power generation. Incremental markets have also been introduced in the form of gas exports to Mexico and LNG exports. The U.S. Shale Revolution has also contributed to the changing paradigm, causing a re-plumbing of traditional transportation routes.

Participants at the Forum include market leaders, decision makers and subject matter experts, representing all industry segments including utilities, industrial gas consumers, producers, pipelines, marketers, key product and service providers, as well as regulators and analysts.

The 2 1/2 day program format is carefully structured for industry authorities to provide insight about market developments, networking with existing and new colleagues, and ultimately conclusion of transactions involving purchase, sale and transportation of natural gas. Keynote presentations will be delivered by Dr. Jim Duncan, Director, Market Research, ConocoPhillips, John Armstrong, VP, Global Environmental Products, BP, Rachel Peterson, Chief of Staff to CPUC Commissioner Randolph, California Public Utilities Commission, Will Brown, Vice President, Business Development, Kinder Morgan - Natural Gas Pipelines West Region, Laird Dyer, Energy Consultant, Teri Viswanath, Managing Director, S&P Global Platts, and Rick Phillips, Senior Director, Pipeline Safety Enhancement Plan, SoCal Gas Company. A panel presentation will focus on past, present and future for the region, with representatives from: EDF Trading, Natural Gas Intelligence, Spire Storage, Salt River Project (SRP) and OPIS PointLogic. A Gas Buyer’s panel will include representatives from ConocoPhillips, City of Pasadena Water & Power, SoCal Gas Company, Salt River Project (SRP), and Southwest Gas Corporation.

This Forum focuses on the Rockies & West U.S. market, while four other Forums throughout the year address other key regions across the continent.

Even in today's digital age, natural gas market participants place value on a venue that facilitates face-to-face interaction.
