API Urges House To Pass Budget Reconciliation
The American Petroleum Institute issued the following statement from President and CEO Mike Sommers urging the U.S. House of Representatives to support American energy leadership and pass the budget reconciliation:
“Congress has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to help restore American energy dominance, and Speaker Johnson and House Leadership have taken an important step forward with a pro-growth tax plan. From opening lease sales and advancing key measures on permitting to beginning to reverse a punitive 'methane fee' and preserving competitive tax policies, this bill leverages our nation's vast energy resources, and we urge policymakers to support it. We look forward to working with Congress on a final tax package that enhances pro-investment provisions and ensures America leads the world in innovation and energy production.”
