Bill Edman New President of Chevron Latinoamerica, S.A.
Chevron Overseas Petroleum, Chevron Corp's division responsible for all upstream activities outside North America, has named William D. "Bill" Edman president of Chevron for Latin America, succeeding David Steele Figueredo who recently took an early retirement.
Edman will be headquartered in Caracas and oversee Chevron's oil and gas exploration and production, project development, and new business ventures in Latin America. Caracas-based Chevron Latinoamerica has oversight responsibilities for the company's operations in Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, and Brazil.
Prior to his new assignment, Edman was president of Chevron Canada Resources, which is responsible for oil and gas exploration, production, and marketing of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids in Canada.
