Bluebonnet Resources Corporation is a privately owned Oklahoma City based oil and gas exploration company. Dr. Jaffrey Zafar founded it in 1989. Dr. Jaffrey is a geologist and petroleum engineering with the degrees of Ph.D. and D.Sc. He has over 30 years of professional and business experience in the oil patch. Dr. Zafar is well rounded in his profession and business. He has worked in the areas of geology, geophysics, engineering, operations and finance and management. Dr. Zafar worked from major to small independent oil companies in domestic as well as international operations. After working for CONOCO, Amerada Hess and Omni Exploration, Inc. He started Bluebonnet Oil Corporation in 1982 with partners. In an effort to expand into the international operations, Dr. Zafar sold his interest of Bluebonnet Oil Corporation in 1989 and started the Bluebonnet International Corporation that was changed to Bluebonnet Resources Corporation in 1995.

Bluebonnet Resources Corporation specializes in oil and gas prospect generation and operations. The prospects are also sold to other oil companies and investors for exploration and development. The company generates small, like one well reentry, to large prospects including multi-billion barrels of oil and multi-trillion cubic feet gas prospects. Bluebonnet also generates water-flood, EOR and horizontal drilling prospects. The company has excellent record of finding oil and gas. It has projects in the mid-continent and the Appalachian, Illinois and Michigan basins. Bluebonnet is also expanding its horizons into the international arena. At present, it has farm- out rights for three concessions in Egypt and one concession in Pakistan. The other international under evaluation includes Caspian Sea, Indonesia and the Middle East. The Bluebonnet Resources Corporation works closely with IPR of Dallas, Texas who is a world leader in EOR, optimization of fields/reservoirs, using state-of-the-art improved oil recovery techniques and practices. This may include the extensive database management systems, geological modeling development, reservoir engineering evaluation, model initialization, history matching, performance predictions, field operational development options, economic evaluation, optimization and the implementation, of reservoir management, to control field operations and to maximize benefits and/or economic recovery from the reservoirs. In addition to the US, the company is also heavily engaged in, exploration, petroleum engineering and management services in Egypt, Kuwait, Syria, India, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Brazil and Taiwan.
