We specialize in fluid transients and multiphase flow, and we have some ten years and 50 completed projects worth of experience.
The advantages of retaining Fluid Flow Consultants (FFC) to do the work are:
- We are experts in the fields of pipeline hydraulics, surge analysis and multiphase flow, so our work is highly credible.
- We use our own software, authored and thoroughly understood by us, so we waste no time learning how to use required applications. Also, we can modify the code, if required, to do the job.
- We thoroughly document everything we do. This not only gives you something for reference, but puts you in conformance with regulatory agencies.
- We are cost-effective. We can probably do the work in half the time (or less) than it would take your own staff. Also, we do not have to buy the application software.
In order for us to give you a quotation, we need a sketch of the pipeline system showing how the various pipe sections connect, where any pumps, valves, etc. are located, and at least approximate data (pipe lengths, OD's, delivery pressures, source pressures, flow rates, viscosity, specific gravity, pump differentials at operating flow rate, valve closure times, etc.). Also, describe briefly the problem you are trying to solve. (For example, we want to know if any pressure exceeds 110% MAOP, if the valve at mp xx closes in 120 sec. Are PRV's needed, and if so, where and what should their settings be?)
Cost and time estimates are free and obligate you to nothing.
