The ReTank System is an on-site retrofit system for existing fiberglass or steel single-wall tanks
The ReTank System is an on-site retrofit system for existing fiberglass or steel single-wall tanks.
With CSI's ReTank System an FRP inner tank is constructed in pieces at our factories, and then installed in your existing tank while it is still in the ground. While in your tank, we give it a full inspection, upgrade all fittings to current standards, and install all the safeguards of our newest, double-wall tanks (single wall tanks when installed in steel). You get the benefits of the safest fiberglass tanks - which never rust - for a much lower investment.
Benefits (ReTank in Fiberglass):
- The ReTank System allows you to turn any Containment Solutions ( or Owens Corning, OC Tanks) single-wall tank into a UL listed hydrostatically monitored double-wall tank.
- It also allows you to go into your existing steel tanks and build a UL fiberglass single-wall tank inside – without removing the tanks from the ground!
- Benefits include reducing costs of tank replacement, using existing tanks for dual fuels, and eliminating the worry of leaking/environmentally unsafe bare steel tanks.

Benefits (ReTank in Fiberglass):
- Costs about 40-percent less than replacing with double-walltanks, fiberglass or steel
- Minimizes downtime to about one week to retrofit three, 10,000-gallon tanks
- UL listing
- A new 30-year warranty covering both walls protecting your financial interest
- Installing a second, fiberglass tank within an existing fiberglass tank gives you double the protection, with:
- Fiberglass'proven permeation, corrosion, chemical, and structural performance
- Hydrostatic pressure, air pressure, vacuum, or dry sensor monitoring of annular space offered as an option
- Proven compatability with methanol, ethanol and all oxygenated motor fuels including gasoline with up to 20% (by volume) methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), or tertiary amyl ethyl ether (TAKE)
- Simplified future maintenance-all pipe fittings are replaced and consolidated into removable, replaceable manway covers
- Hydrostatic Monitoring - With the completion of the manways and the installation of the reservoir, the brine solution can be added. This allows testing to check both tanks' walls. This solution is dyed a deep green and is easy to detect should there be a breach of the inner tank. Optionally, air pressure can be applied to the annulus and a soap inspection of the inner tank performed.
- Fiberglass'proven permeation, corrosion, chemical, and structural performance
Throughout the life of the tank, brine solution continuously monitors the integrity of both tank walls. If optional electronic monitoring systems are installed, an alarm will sound if the brine level drops.
