Cranes
A full range of both conventional "turntable" slew bearing pedestal cranes and "kingpost" pedestal cranes, used for a wide variety of offshore applications including oil platforms, drilling vessels, workover rigs, as well as many others. Cranes are available in standard configurations or in custom-engineered variations to meet exact job requirements. Capacities range from 25 to 600 short tons and larger.
AmClyde is the leading American supplier of stevedoring cranes, which are custom-engineered in either "balanced deck" configurations or as slew-bearing machines. Applications include material handling with buckets (capacities up to 50 cubic yards and greater), hook work, break-bulk handling, and container handling with Bromma type attachments. Additionally, specialty type machines are available including floating catamaran "HH-50" horizontal boom loader/unloaders.
AmClyde is a leading provider of a full range of travelling gantry cranes for shipbuilding and port operations, including both straight boom and level-luffing boom configurations. AmClyde has a long heritage of designing and building most of the U.S. Navy's cranes, as well as a significant percentage of the U.S. commercial shipyard fleet of cranes.
In addition to the above standard classifications of cranes, AmClyde is also a leading designer of specialty cranes and other lifting/positioning systems. This includes a range of horizontal boom unloaders, stiffleg derricks, shear leg derricks and "Goliath" outdoor travelling A-Frame Cranes. AmClyde's reputation as the world's leading designer of specialty cranes, mooring systems and other mechanical systems enables it to continuously design new equipment and configurations tailored to meet exacting customer requirements.
