Derrick Super G Motor
The higher G-force produced by the Super G motors has proven to dramatically increase liquid/solids separation due to superior conveyance characteristics. Field testing has shown that the 3-panel shakers process in excess of 525 gpm with a 10.4 ppg mud over 210 mesh Pyramid screens, while the 4-panel shakers process 920 gpm with a 9.1 ppg mud over 210 mesh Pyramid screens.
Super G motors are built with Derrick's superior electrics, which are renowned in the industry for durability. A unique Greased-For-Life Bearing System eliminates the need for a remote lubrication system. This reduces costs for repair and eases maintenance. These new bearings also enable shakers to be run at significantly lower decibel levels. Sound output from the machines has been reduced to approximately 81 dB, which translates to a 50% noise level reduction.
The Super G motors enable drilling rigs to experience increased fluid handling capacities while actually utilizing fewer shakers. Rigs can also screen finer earlier in the drilling process, thus significantly reducing mud and disposal costs.
