Drilling System

The IDEAL drilling evaluation and logging system integrates downhole directional drilling, drilling mechanics and petrophysical data measured, and transmits that data to the surface. The data is then merged with relevant surface measurements, checked and translated into information that can be displayed on the rig floor, in the surface unit and in the company representative's office.

The system includes instrumented drilling tools: a steerable motor for directional drilling, and a stabilizer for drilling with rotary assemblies. These tools provide bit and azimuthal formation resistivities, borehole imaging, and inclination measurements at the drillbit.
