Detector Electronics Corporationxpanded Det-Tronics Eagle Quantum system for combined fire and gas detection and extinguishing agent release has received Factory Mutual approval to the ANSI/NFPA-72-1996 National Fire Alarm Code.

Integrated on a fault tolerant digital communication network, this dual hazard protection system is FM approved for integration of up to 240 flame, gas, smoke or heat inputs, providing suppression agent release, signaling or annunciation.

Deluge and pre-action release capability for fire suppression is also FM approved with solenoid groups A, B, D, E, F and G. Handling up to 32,500ft of network wiring and six network extenders, the system also has CSA and CENELEC certifications plus CE Mark compliance.

Advanced distributed system architecture can monitor both analog process signals, such as combustible or toxic gas concentrations, and discrete ‘contact-closure' type devices including manual fire alarm call-boxes and heat detectors.

These sensors are coupled to a local control unit to execute logic and control response outputs or communicate with external operator interface systems for configuration and monitoring. The system is compatible with Det-Tronics flame and gas detectors as well as third party detectors having 4-20mA or ‘dry contact' type outputs.
