Elnusa Strengthens Strategic Role Through Dual Completion With PHR Zona 4 To Support Pertamina's Production Targets

PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa), an integrated energy services company and part of Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner of Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Zona 4 through the implementation of Dual Completion technology at Adera Field. This collaboration forms part of Pertamina's broader initiative to increase national oil and gas production while reinforcing Indonesia's energy security.

The Dual Completion implementation supported by Elnusa is part of PHR Zona 4's field development strategy to optimize the potential of mature oil and gas fields. The technology complements various development initiatives, including development drilling, step-out drilling, and reservoir optimization, to improve the efficiency of hydrocarbon recovery.

In supporting the implementation, Elnusa leveraged its capabilities in Well Intervention & Completion, Engineering Services, and field operation execution while maintaining the highest Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards. These capabilities enabled completion activities to be carried out safely, on schedule, and in accordance with operational standards, contributing to the optimization of production at PHR Zona 4 while creating added value for Pertamina's upstream field development.

Through the implementation of Dual Completion at the BNG-D14 well in Adera Field, two productive reservoirs can be produced simultaneously through a single wellbore without requiring separate wells for each reservoir interval. This approach improves field development efficiency, reduces the need for additional well interventions, and maximizes the utilization of productive reservoirs, making it an effective solution for mature oil and gas fields.

The application of Dual Completion under PHR Zona 4's field development program has delivered an additional production of approximately 480 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 3.3 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD), exceeding the initial target of 186 BOPD and 1.09 MMSCFD. This technology has become one of the key approaches for optimizing mature fields through more efficient reservoir utilization. Following this successful implementation, the technology is planned to be deployed in additional wells, including GNK-PD80 and BNG-B7.
