Energy Workforce & Technology Council Welcomes New Advisory Board Members

The Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) is pleased to announce the election of three distinguished leaders to its Advisory Board during the Council’s recent Board Meeting held in Houston, Texas.

Advisory Board members serve three-year terms and help shape the Council’s priorities by promoting engagement across member companies and contributing to the advancement of the energy services and technology sector.

New members include:

  • Stuart Bodden, President & CEO, Ranger Energy Services
  • Shawn Maxson, Principal – Oil and Gas Strategy Practice Lead, Deloitte
  • Doug Orr, Founder & President, Pioneer Leadership Advisors

These additions bring deep operational, strategic, and leadership expertise to the Advisory Board, strengthening EWTC’s ability to support the energy workforce and advance the Council’s policy and advocacy goals.

Stuart Bodden brings over two decades of global executive experience in the oil and gas industry. He currently serves as President and CEO of Ranger Energy Services. His prior leadership roles include President & CEO of Express Energy Services and President Director of Pacific Oil and Gas in Singapore. Stuart began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Partner serving upstream and oilfield services clients. He holds a BS from Brown University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Shawn Maxson is a recognized leader in oil and gas strategy, with more than 30 years of consulting experience. As Deloitte’s U.S. Oil and Gas Strategy Practice Lead, he advises clients on operational transformation, decarbonization, and digital innovation. Shawn’s previous roles include Partner at Strategy& (PwC) and leadership positions at Accenture and i2 Technologies. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Tulsa and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.

Doug Orr is the Founder and President of Pioneer Leadership Advisors and a trusted executive coach and recruiter to leaders across the energy sector. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran with multiple deployments, Doug brings a service-driven leadership philosophy to his advisory work. He co-founded the Greenspoint Community Partnership and remains an active contributor to EWTC initiatives. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a certified executive coach through Rice University.
