In Sweden, over 40 years ago, Everth and Gerhard Svensson grew tired of constantly repairing the worn-out pivots on their construction equipment. The brothers tried all the conventional repair methods, but they were only temporary – wear eventually reappeared.

The saying "Necessity is the mother of invention" aptly applies here. After many attempts to solve this seemingly insurmountable problem, the idea was born – an expandable pivot pin. The expandable pivot pin permanently eliminated wear in pivot lugs without costly repairs!

The Svensson brother's ingenious idea was patented and received the Alfred Nobel Foundation Innovation Award in 1987.

This simple invention that solved a rather complicated problem became the seed that gave rise to the rapidly growing Expander Group of Sweden. Roger Svensson and his father Everth Svensson founded Svenska Expander AB in 1986.

The Expander System is manufactured and stocked in Sweden and Germany, with additional inventory in England. Expander Group of Sweden has a distribution network covering the entire European market with subsidiaries in England and Germany. The Expander System is now being launched in North America and Japan.
