Frictionless Workflows Will Improve Asset Management Efficiencies

Production Access, Inc.TON (September, 2000)— Paradigm Technologies, Inc. (a Petroleum Place Company) of Denver and <%=company%> of Houston announced today that they are jointly developing a frictionless connection between the Excalibur financial system developed by Paradigm and Production Access' Operations Center. Each of these systems has been purpose-built for the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. Their coupling will provide increased functionality to the more than 200 oilfield clients served by the two companies.

The connection will allow selected data generated by or archived within either system to be interchanged and integrated as if resident within one datastore. For example, production volumes and AFE information—typical production operations type output—now can flow from Operations Center into Excalibur. While revenue and cost information—typical financial components—can move from Excalibur to Production Access.

"This interchange is made possible by the data management engine that underlies both products," emphasizes Thomas R. Bandy, chief executive officer of Production Access, "and enables a wide variety of operations functions and data sources to be reconciled into a single location."

"Frictionless workflows are a strategic ingredient for oil and gas companies as they continue to pursue ever-increasing operational efficiency," sites J. Brian Searles, president and chief executive officer of Paradigm. "The robust connection that Paradigm Technologies and Production Access have created between their product lines offers a new standard for the unrestricted flow of operational data that are used daily to optimize the production asset."
