GE-Sensing Offers The Intrinsically Safe HygroPro Moisture Transmitter

Billerica, MA - Both a moisture analyzer and a transmitter, the multitasking HygroPro™ from GE-Sensing combines the high performance and practical features commonly found in top-of-the-line moisture analyzers in a compact, intrinsically safe, loop-powered device for applications in the process, industrial, and pharmaceutical markets, according to the supplier. By integrating moisture, temperature, and pressure sensors on a single probe, the HygroPro is said to reduce the overall installation cost by minimizing the number of sensors, and significantly reducing installation points and cabling needs.

Company sources claim that the HygroPro's Bafeesa and FM (pending) certified intrinsically safe design in an IP67/Type 4X housing is ideal for measuring the moisture content in pipeline natural gas, petrochemical applications, power generation, such as transformer oil or sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) and other industrial gas or non-aqueous liquid applications.
