Glycol Heating and Skid Packages for Alliance/Colt Pipeline
ALLIANCE PIPE and COLT ENGINEERING CORPORATION have selected HTH HEATECH INC. to
provide the glycol heating packages for the 14 compressor stations that power ALLIANCE
PIPELINE's new natural gas pipeline system in both Canada and the U.S..
Each HTH HEATECH industrial package is comprised of (2) PARKER natural draft watertube
glycol heaters, (3) Dean glycol pumps, (1) Clemmer expansion tank, and a slipstream
filter. The PARKER heaters are supplied with separate fuel trains and controls to allow
them to function on a stand-alone basis with local annunciation. These packages are
equipped with a GE Fanuc PLC, which performs lead lag functions for the heaters and pumps,
as well as providing the remote monitoring and control functions necessary for pipeline
applications.
The glycol heating packages will provide heat for both compressor fuel gas preheat and
compressor station building heat. These packages are designed to meet all operating
scenarios and have 100% standby under normal operating conditions.
The structural steel skid is designed with an integral catch basin to contain any
potential spills and direct the glycol to an in-skid holding tank. A clean glycol header
is connected to relief points for further spill containment. This design is to ensure that
the potential for environmental contamination is minimized.
HTH HEATECH INC. markets and packages glycol and thermal fluid heaters from 400,000
BTU/HR. to 70 MMBTU/HR. We also provide steam boilers from 10 HP to 250,000 PPH, water
treatment equipment and accessories for boilers of all sizes.
