Founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1979, Green Mountain Geophysics develops high quality geophysical software for use in the petroleum industry. Specifically, GMG software addresses three areas in Exploration: Seismic Survey Design, Seismic Acquisition Project Management, and Refraction Statics.

GMG applications can be used on the most compact laptop PC in the field, or the largest workstation in the office. GMG Energy Services was formed in 1998 to provide seismic survey design and planning, consulting and training, and other acquisition services to help GMG clients get the most from MESA, Alpine and Millennium products. This division offers users the most comprehensive services available, as well as techniques and tools for enhancing geophysical solutions. Energy Services is backed by the complete technology and software development resources of GMG and Input/Output, allowing quick, easy access to experts who can help customers meet any geophysical challenge.
