GTC Vorro Technology (GTC Vorro), a turnkey provider of environmental services and process technologies to oil and gas, refining and petrochemical companies, has debuted its new calculator for generating the amount of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) mass.
Available exclusively on GTC Vorro’s website, the new calculator makes it easy to quickly and efficiently generate the number of pounds or kilograms of hydrogen sulfide present in any gas stream. The free tool also automatically calculates the equivalent annual SO2 that would be emitted from flaring that gas untreated. The SO2 calculation is important for ESG compliance and determining emissions reduction impact.
Phillip Walsh, vice president, GTC Vorro, said, “We are thrilled to offer this new tool in order to quantify the volume of H2S present in gas across a spectrum of applications. The calculator has already generated high usage with process, production and facilities engineers that only have access to gas flow and
H2S concentration data.”
Developed with the engineer in mind, GTC Vorro’s new calculator provides an accurate reference point for how much H2S is present in any given situation. This leads to the next step of calculating an all-encompassing cost to remove the H2S per pound.
Walsh added, “We’ve made it simple for you to determine the price per pound of
H2S removed, allowing for a robust total all-in cost comparison between methods. Once you have the number, GTC Vorro can hit the ground running with our customized H2S removal and management systems.”
With a focus on environmentally friendly solutions, GTC Vorro works in collaboration with customers to provide optimal H2S removal across a variety of applications both nationally and internationally.
