GTC Vorro Technology Names Melissa Peterson As General Counsel

GTC Vorro Technology (GTC Vorro), a turnkey provider of environmental process technologies to oil and gas, refining and petrochemical companies, announces that industry veteran Melissa Peterson has joined the executive leadership team as general counsel.

Based in Houston, Peterson is responsible for overseeing GTC Vorro’s legal affairs globally and providing strategic legal and compliance advice to support the company’s growth plans. Her expertise spans multiple verticals including oil and gas and technology, with a focus on innovation-driven offerings.

Prior to joining GTC Vorro, Peterson served in progressive managerial roles at Sulzer, most recently global counsel – licensing and prior to that energy business unit (BU) counsel for the Americas. She started her career at Andrews & Kurth (now Hunton Andrews Kurth) in Houston.

Peterson holds a bachelor’s degree from Rice University and received her law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the State Bars of Texas and New Mexico as well as a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
