Honeywell Completes Acquisition Of Zellweger Analytics

Enters Large and Growing Gas Detection Marketplace

Northford, CT — Honeywell has announced it has completed the acquisition of Zellweger Analytics, a global leader in hazardous gas detection technology. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The gas detection marketplace is a billion-dollar industry and growing. We are very pleased to officially enter this industry with such a well-established and respected company in our portfolio," said Mark Levy, president of Honeywell Life Safety. "We will quickly and efficiently integrate Zellweger Analytics into the Life Safety division of Honeywell's Automation and Control Solutions business in order to begin growing our business in this important new market segment."

Zellweger Analytics has annual sales of approximately USD $170 million and nearly 40 years of experience in the design and manufacture of innovative gas detection products for use in semiconductor, industrial and oil and gas industries. Zellweger Analytics' products help ensure the safety of employees, protect high-value assets and prevent costly plant shutdowns.

Levy concluded, "This expertise complements our existing fire and sensors portfolio and will greatly enhance and expand our sensing and detecting capabilities. Our customers will have access to a full suite of gas detection solutions in industries where potentially hazardous chemicals and gases exist."
