The dual-acting hydraulic coiled tubing and slimhole jar was designed to meet the needs of the coiled tubing industry. The dual-acting jar with its small outside diameter provides coiled tubing drillers with the quality and performance of the conventional hydraulic drilling jar. The dual-acting jar can provide impacts up or down to help overcome the lack of coiled tubing tensile strength. The jar has been designed to meet the requirements of the coiled tubing driller, short ample delay before impact, adequate impact (up/down) and durable for continued operations.
