Impact Of Turbulent Financial & Commodity Markets On Oil & Gas Industry To Be Key Topic At IHS Herold Pacesetters Energy Conference

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IHS Herold today unveiled the full agenda for the 2008 Pacesetters Energy Conference, a premier oil and gas industry event taking place September 23 – 25 in Old Greenwich, Conn. The 17th annual conference will focus on key issues in an increasingly dynamic and turbulent oil and gas industry. Among the timely topics covered by the fifteen panels and three keynotes speakers will be concerns generated by the sudden drop in commodity prices and the turmoil in the financial markets. Speakers will address the impact of lower oil prices on the viability of major developments such as oil sands and natural gas shales; the outlook for exploration in light of the severe credit crunch; and the uncertain future for oil and gas profits as costs soar and margins shrink.

The conference includes networking breakfasts and evening receptions. For registration and other information, please see the Pacesetters website (https://www.herold.com/pec/pec.home), email pec@herold.com, or call (203) 847-3344.
