In The Lower Congo Basin, ANPG And Sonangol E&P Announce Successful Drilling Of Well PAC 416 In Block 3/05

The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), Sonangol Exploração & Produção, as Operator, and the Contractor Group partners of Block 3/05 announce the safe and successful completion of drilling operations on well PAC 416, located in the southwest compartment of the Pacassa field (PAC-SW), in Block 3/05, Lower Congo Basin.

The main objective of drilling PAC 416 was to develop the oil potential of the southwestern compartment of the Pacassa field. The well, drilled from the PAC F4 platform, reached a total depth of 5,381 mMD (meters of Measured Depth) and 3,600 mTVD (meters of True Vertical Depth), traversing two productive intervals in the Pacassa and Búfalo reservoirs.

The results obtained confirmed a net oil column (Net Pay) of approximately 100 meters in thickness, in good quality reservoirs, with an average porosity of 12% and water saturation of 10%, reinforcing the productive potential of the field.

The successful completion of PAC 416 constitutes a significant milestone in the redevelopment program of Block 3/05, contributing to the strengthening of its production capacity and the extension of the productive life of its assets.

PAC 416 integrates a drilling campaign of three infill wells (additional wells between others already existing in a producing field) planned for 2026, aimed at maximizing the exploitation of the existing oil potential in Block 3/05, in line with Sonangol E&P's strategy of sustainably increasing operated production.

The Contractor Group for Block 3/05 consists of SONANGOL E&P (Operator), with a 36% participating interest, Afentra (30%), Maurel & Prom (20%), Etu Energias (10%) and Nis-Naftgas (4%).
