Stratos' Inmarsat-B service offers very high-quality voice, Telex, medium (9.6 kbps) and high-speed data (64 kbps) as well as Group III fax capabilities. Inmarsat-B service provided by Stratos reduces voice data and fax costs by 30-40% when compared with Inmarsat-A, making it a must for high-volume satcom users. The high-speed data (HSD) option for the Inmarsat-B service even allows for data transfer at 56/64 kbps and multiplexing* - which divides the 64 kbps data stream into several slower speed circuits and allows multiple signals, e.g. fax, voice and data to be sent at once over the channel.
