Stratos will set-up convenient e-mail addresses to define each group for broadcast messaging from the users current Internet e-mail service in addition to assigning the vessels to the groups. This allows the user to contact large numbers of vessels together at one low cost, rather than sending numerous individual messages, using only your standard Internet e-mail software.

Inmarsat-C Software with Compression
Stratos' Inmarsat-C service now offers automatic compression capabilities through simplified Mobile Communications Controller (MCC) shipboard software. This results in instant savings due to the reduced size of the data transmitted. Additionally, it also provides an easy-to-use address book for Internet e-mail, fax, Stratos Mailbox and other Inmarsat-C numbers. Details on Inmarsat-C Software with Compression can be found in the Inmarsat-C Message Compression Services Fact Sheet.
