Kemira Launches Comprehensive Polymer Portfolio For Oil And Gas Applications

Kemira Oil & Mining segment is pleased to announce the launch of our novel "green" friction reducer technology commercialized under the KemEflow brand. "Our goal is to manufacture partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (PHPA) products with exceptional performance with the added benefit of being environmentally responsible", says Jim Coffey, Polymers Product Manager, Oil & Gas. Our KemEflow friction reducers have been specifically designed based on feedback from point-of-use in the field to provide high performance while being more environmentally sensitive than other friction reducers. The portfolio includes products designed specifically for fresh water, seawater, and high brine applications.

In addition to the KemEflow friction reducers, our comprehensive polymer product line is now available under Kemira brands KemDrill, KemFlow, and KemSep. The KemDrill brand covers the broad range of Kemira polymer technology for drilling, including bentonite extenders, viscosifiers and fluid loss control. In oilfield and refinery applications, our KemSep products are designed to enhance separation, clarification, and dewatering. Kemira KemFlow polymers are used to improve friction reduction in stimulation applications.
