We support the chemical process industries with products and services to aid in increased reliability and cost effective compliance. The integrated suite we have developed for effective information management is a suite of software tools known as the Knowledge Management System® (KMS).

KMS was designed to help the process industries efficiently manage environmental health and safety (EH&S) data and comply with OSHA's Process Safety Management Standard, as well as the EPA's RMP Rule. This is done by automating compliance activities, thereby reducing the time required to conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), audits, and incident investigations. The KMS modules currently available for use include those described below.

Resolution Tracker® is a tool for tracking recommendations from any source, for any purpose, to closure. Resolution Tracker® contains, in integrated fashion:

• Recommended Actions, which aid in managing non-Management of Change (MOC) recommendations
• Electronic Management of Change (EMOC), which automates your MOC process, reducing the paper rail and making tracking, communicating status, and closure much easier
• Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), which stores your checklists to ensure that all items planned for in the design of a new project have been installed
• Process Safety Information (PSI), which allows for the linkage of recommendations to your plant equipment lists, drawings, and redlines
• Recurring Activities (RA), which allow you to manage tasks (i.e. PHA revalidations, inspections, audits, meetings) and ties into your e-mail system

PHA Workshop® is a tool for recording several kinds of PHAs, including HAZOPs, and helps users create important recommendations.

Investigator® is a tool designed for recording, analyzing, and sharing lessons learned from near-misses and actual incidents. It utilizes your own incident investigation protocols and can also be used to track SARA releases.

Auditor® is a tool designed for conducting and documenting any type of audit using your current protocols and also aids in recommendation creation. BadgerMail/DS&Sperforma® works with your e-mail system to notify any KMS user of assigned recommendations, action items, and MOCs. It will also notify the recipient and originator prior to and beyond due dates. This tool allows the customer to create on-line (Web-based) status monitoring of recommendations and action items, and provides nearly unlimited ad hoc and automatic reporting capabilities.
