KROHNE To Highlight Process Instrumentation At Canadian School Of Hydrocarbon Measurement 2018
Experts to demonstrate highly reliable instrumentation for the oil and gas industry
KROHNE, Inc. will be showcasing reliable process instrumentation for the oil and gas industry at the Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement (CsHm), to be held March 20-21, 2018 at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre, in Calgary, Alberta. KROHNE equipment to be featured includes the OPTIMASS 1400 twin straight tube Coriolis flowmeter and OPTIMASS 6400 twin bent tube Coriolis mass flowmeter, OPTIWAVE 7500 frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) radar level transmitter.
Also to be exhibited is the new KROHNE OPTIMASS 2000 flowmeter for large line sizes, OPTISONIC V12 ultrasonic flowmeter for gas custody transfer, and the OPTISONIC 7300 ultrasonic gas flowmeter for process and other applications.
The OPTIMASS Coriolis flowmeters on display feature Entrained Gas Management (EGM), which means there is no loss of measurement with gas entrainment up to 100 percent of volume. These Coriolis mass flowmeters are ideal for applications with liquids and gases.
The featured OPTIMASS 2400 flowmeter is ideal for line sizes to 16 inches. It operates with flow rates up to 100,400 pounds/hour and operating pressures to 2600 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) with secondary containment to 2610 psig.
Also on display is the OPTIMASS 6400 with EGM, a twin bent tube Coriolis mass flowmeter that is a good choice for standard liquid and gas applications in the oil and gas industry. Drop by the booth to see KROHNE experts conduct a working demonstration of the OPTIMASS 6400, which is equipped with a new signal converter that features advanced device and process diagnostics, compliant with NAMUR NE 107. The OPTIMASS 6400 has been approved for custody transfers of both liquids and gases, making it ideal for process industries and specialist applications like LNG, CNG, or supercritical gases in terminal or storage/bunkering, along with custody transfer applications.
The OPTIWAVE 7500 to be shown is a 2-wire 80 GHz FMCW radar level transmitter for demanding liquid applications involving narrow tanks with long nozzles and internal obstructions like agitators or heating coils. With a very small beam angle and negligible dead zone, this FMCW radar is the optimal choice for continuous, non-contact level measurement in both extremely small and very high tanks (up to 100 meters/ 328 feet). The level transmitter is even able to measure through tank roofs made of non-conductive materials. Its PEEK Lens antenna is insensitive to deposits and well suited for corrosive environments. The antenna is flush-mounted, so there is no intrusion into the tank.
