Mooring Systems
A line of proprietary and patented dual traction winch and windlass mooring systems used for deepwater anchoring of semi-submersible drilling rigs. Over eleven such 8-point shipsets have been delivered for work in water depths to 5000 feet and greater. Capacities range to 3-3/4 inch wire rope and 3-1/4 inch chain and larger.
A full line of proprietary linear winch machines sized to handle wire rope from 1 inch to 5 inch diameter wire rope and greater, with pulling capacities from 80,000 lbs. to 1,540,000 lbs. and higher. This unique range of winches has extraordinary line pull to machine weight ratios, which are ideal for offshore marine applications. Linear winches are available in either intermittent (one set of powered grips) or continuous (two sets of powered grips). AmClyde linear winches have been used in a wide variety of applications on land as well as over 100 applications offshore, including mooring, positioning, "J-Tube" and FPSO connect-disconnect operations.
order to best support its multiple product lines of winches, windlasses and mooring equipment, AmClyde also offers a full range of complementary ancillary equipment. This includes rotary fairleads, patented bending shoe fairleads, combination chain/wire rope fairleads, deck sheaves, chain stoppers, capstans and deck winches.
