Neotronics Awarded Waterproof Seal Of Approval For XT And XP Portable Gas Detectors
Zellweger Analytics is pleased to announce the latest enhancement to the Neotronics Impulse XT and XP single gas portable detectors.
The easy to use, ‘always on' affordable safety devices have now had their outer design remolded and approved to meet the extreme IP67 ingress protection standard (equivalent to NEMA level 6).
Providing real time monitoring, loud alarm and vibrator alerts and data-logging for a large range of industrial gases including oxygen, carbon monoxide, chlorine, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and hydrogen cyanide, The new IP67-approved Impulse XP and XT portable units are even more resistant to everyday and accidental exposure to dusts, grease, water and chemicals - making them more suitable than ever for heavy industrial and offshore applications.
The award of the IP67 standard has demonstrated that both devices will withstand continued exposure to harsh conditions – for example the single gas XP device can be immersed in up to 1m (3 feet) of water for as long as 30 minutes and will still safely operate to detect toxic gases once retrieved out of the immersion site.
"The Impulse XP and XT range already have a reputation as a durable and dependable gas detector that can be used in a range of hostile environments," says Chris Cottrell, vice-president of sales and marketing for Zellweger Analytics.
"The award of IP67 reflects the dedication of Zellweger Analytics and Lumidor to constantly improve and update our products to provide outstanding performance and reliability."
