Oil States MCS

Oil States MCS Ltd. is a company within the Oil States group. Oil States is an American owned company with head offices in Arlington, Texas USA. OSMCS supply equipment and services relating to the installation, maintenance and decommissioning of offshore structures.

During the installation phase the company offers pile connections using the Hydra-Lok® swaging system or seals, valves and pipework etc associated with making grouted connections. Levelling of jackets and subsea structures is undertaken using the Latch-Lok levelling system which can also be used with the Hydra-Lok system to give a single lifted unit to level and secure a structure in a single operation.

Specialised maintenance operations are offered to repair seawater pump caissons and pressure test pipework using the Hydra-Lok system. The system is also used downhole on drilling tubular for high-pressure hydro and gas testing of drilling conductor and casing.

At the end of the life of the structure the piles and wells can be cut below the mudline using the OSMCS abrasive water jet cutting system. The abrasive water jet cutting system is also used to cut structures and pipelines to allow recover and possible reuse. Because it is a spark free cold cutting method abrasive water jet is also used in other operations including maintenance and salvage work.
