Paradigm Demonstrates Commitment To Open Integration With Epos OpenSpirit Link In Rock & Fluid Canvas 2009 | Epos 4.0

Paradigm demonstrates commitment to open integration by providing cross-vendor connectivity with links to the OpenSpirit interoperability framework.

George Town, Cayman Islands - Paradigm, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) industry, announced that the new Rock & Fluid Canvas 2009 | Epos 4.0 release delivers their first release of the Epos OpenSpirit Link, providing connectivity between OpenSpirit data connectors and the Epos framework. Paradigm also announced that they have joined the OpenSpirit Business Partner program to further strengthen the ties between the two companies and provide a business framework for both organizations to deliver additional interoperability solutions. This arrangement complements the Paradigm investment in OpenSpirit.

Paradigm Rock & Fluid Canvas 2009 is the new synchronized release of industry-pervasive solutions in geophysics, petrophysics, geology and engineering that operate on the open and scalable Epos infrastructure. "The Epos OpenSpirit Link connects the Rock & Fluid Canvas 2009 | Epos 4.0 release to the OpenSpirit application integration framework, demonstrating our commitment to openness and cross-vendor connectivity," said Ofra Kalechshtain, Paradigm executive vice president, research and development. "Linking our Rock & Fluid 2009 products to an industry-leading, platform-independent and standards-based OpenSpirit integration solution for upstream data strengthens our solutions and our clients' data portfolios and work processes."

The cross-vendor interoperability offered by the Epos OpenSpirit Link complements the Paradigm Higher Order Workflow (H.O.W.), a collective, knowledge-building process that enables product users to reduce risk and increase productivity by concurrently and seamlessly accessing and optimizing their data in an integrated, multidisciplinary software environment, and extending the process to include data from multiple vendors.

"This is an important step in the growth of our strategic relationship, which began with Paradigm's investment in OpenSpirit in 2006," said Dan Piette, President & CEO of OpenSpirit. "We are excited about this release of Rock & Fluid Canvas 2009 | Epos 4.0 and the role of the Epos OpenSpirit Link in giving customers access to important geotechnical data housed within their OpenSpirit-enabled data stores. In parallel, OpenSpirit will be releasing an Epos-Geolog data connector later this year, providing additional integration opportunities and supporting our business strategy to provide true openness and vendor-neutrality to the upstream E&P industry."
