Petrobras Confirms New Gas Discovery In Colombia

Petrobras announces another new gas accumulation discovery in the Sandia-1 exploratory well , in Block GUA-OFF-0 , located in deep waters off Colombia . The Sandia-1 well is located approximately 42 kilometers from the coast, at a water depth of 1251 meters and at a distance of 18 kilometers from the Sirius-1 (discovery) and Sirius-2 (evaluation) wells and 9 kilometers from the Copoazu-1 (discovery) well, reinforcing the gas potential in the Colombian offshore , adding volumes that will contribute to the region's energy security. Drilling of the Sandia-1 well began on June 12, 2026, reaching the final depth on July 29, 2026, under high operational standards, respecting the environment and people. The intervals in which the presence of gas was confirmed are being evaluated in detail through well logs and will be subsequently characterized by laboratory analyses. Petrobras' activity in Block GUA-OFF-0 is aligned with the company's long-term strategy, aimed at replenishing oil and gas reserves through the exploration of new frontiers and working in partnership with other companies, contributing to meeting global energy demand during the energy transition.

Petrobras, through its subsidiary Petrobras International Braspetro BV – Sucursal Colômbia (PIB-COL) , acts as the operator of the consortium (44.44% stake), in partnership with Ecopetrol SA (55.56% stake).
