Petrospec TechnologiesDS, TEXAS -- PETROSPEC Computer Corporation (Petrospec Technologiesds, TX) has signed a technology licensing agreement with OilVel, Inc (Houston, TX). OilVel is a provider of pore pressure analysis software for PC's and workstations. Petrospec is a leading provider of pore pressure analysis tools for geophysicists and drilling engineers.

Mark Herkommer, President of <%=company%>, said "OilVel uses technology distinctly different from the what is presently in the market place, and that was the attraction for us." Herkommer went on to say "the Dutta method is constitutive, relying on physical model that relates effective stress to temperature, cation exchange capacity, and shale void ratio."

Rudy Wilhelm, President of OilVel and chief developer of the technology said "this agreement is in line with OilVel's main focus of pre-drill pore pressure and seal capacity analysis from seismic velocities." OilVel's implementation of the Dutta method have recently attracted the interest of a number of major oil companies. OilVel is the only provider of software that implements Dutta method.

OilVel technology is currently being incorporated into Petrospec's product line and is expected to be available by the 1st Quarter of 2000.
