Pipeline Surveys
Geometric inspection allows the pipeline operator to evaluate the condition of his pipeline prior to final acceptance for new construction or prior to corrosion inspection runs. TDW pioneered this activity in the early 1970's.
Pipeline operators need to know the geometric condition of their pipelines. TDW Pipeline Surveys will work with the operator, providing valuable information using two state-of-the-art internal survey vehicles.
Electronic KALIPER Survey
T.D. Williamson's long proven Electronic KALIPER Survey instrument will provide information on dents, wrinkles, out-of-roundness and flat spots and pin point their location.
The KALIPER instrument, available in sizes 6" and larger, has proven to be a rugged and reliable survey tool with more than 150,000 miles of pipeline inspections. The on-board computer has "pipeline rugged" electronics, industry standard microprocessor, continuous data acquisition, and instant data analysis permitting on-site decisions regarding pipeline condition.
Proven mechanical sensors, completely contained within urethane cups, provide 360 degrees of coverage of the entire internal pipe surface. The high resolution results make repair decisions clearer to the operator.
